FIELD REFERENCE / UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
Rig accuracy & sources
RigReady provides starting setups, not guarantees. Lure weights, hooks, local regulations, fish locations, and water depths vary among lakes, current, seasons and target fish. Match recommendations to live observations and legal rules before fishing.
What the rig builder shows
Recommended tackle sizes are ranges and starting examples. The component list shows what belongs on the line; the pictures are photorealistic illustrations, not technical photographs or knot diagrams. When a reference image does not match the selected terminal setup, no photo is displayed. Actual tackle varies by product.
What affects where fish hold?
Food, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, vegetation, light, and lake geometry can matter more than the calendar. Fish may suspend in the water column and may move between shallow and deep structure throughout the day. The ice builder does not provide real-time ice thickness, ice safety ratings or user-submitted ice reports.
Fishing regulations and safety
Verify local seasons, bait transport, hook and line limits, and body-of-water restrictions. Never infer safe ice from weather or fish-location advice. Check ice thickness and local warnings independently.
